Wayward Cafe, Seattle WA

Location: 5253 University Way Northeast, Seattle, WA 98105, USA

On our second visit to Wayward Cafe we decided to try one of the new sandwiches. One of the few meat dishes I liked before becoming veggie was a meatball sandwich so I usually try it when it is offered somewhere. This one has house made meatballs, marinara, and fried mozzarella wedges with mayo on a hoagy roll served with french fries. I wasn't expecting much as I am usually disappointed with meatball sandwiches but this was amazing! Probably my favorite thing I have ever had here. The meatballs are really delicious and the fried cheese wedges make it so so tasty. The french fries are also really good. Some of my favorite fries ever. Overall super tasty, though a ton of food.

We also ordered a breakfast biscuit - cheesy tofu, sausage patty, on an herb biscuit served with hash browns - with a side of mushroom gravy. This was one of my standard orders when we lived there and it was just as tasty now. I love the cheesy tofu and we usually eat it open faced and put the gravy on one half of the biscuit so we get biscuits and gravy and breakfast sandwich. So good.

Overall - Definitely stop by Wayward if you are in Seattle. Almost everything we have tried there has been incredibly good.
