Nagano, Salzburg Austria

Location: Getreidegasse 24, 5020 Salzburg, Austria

We had a late breakfast in Salzburg one day, but after walking around for a bit were slightly hungry but it was too early for dinner. We walked by Nagano and decided to stop for a small meal to hold us over until dinner time. We got some edamame which I always love. This was tasty as always. I don't think you can make it not good. All you have to do is steam it, add some salt or other seasonings and yum!

We also tried the tofu steak with rice. Soft tofu with a soy sauce glaze and steamed cabbage, carrots, zucchini and cauliflower. This was really tasty as well, very light and healthy feeling which is nice. Sometimes when we travel we eat a lot of junk so a nice healthy snack is always nice.

Overall - Definitely check out Nagano if you are in Salzburg. They have some tasty healthy vegan options.

Bok, Vienna Austria

Location: Favoritenstraße 8, 1040 Vienna, Austria

After wandering around the Natural History museum in Vienna one morning we went down to Bok for some lunch. They have a lot of veggie options and many small things to choose from. First we tried the veggie packages. These had cabbage, carrot and spices inside a wrapper and were amazing! A lot of times fried things such as this are too greasy for me, but these I wanted more of.

Next we tried the Thai tofu - fried tofu with a sweet and spicy sauce. This was also really tasty, the tofu was crisp on the outside and soft inside and still felt really light even though it was fried.

Then we tried the glass noodle salad. I was intrigued as I had no idea what this would be like and the menu was not very descriptive, but I love noodle so I thought let's give it a go. We asked for it to not be spicy as I don't like a lot of spice and it was so so good. Glass noodles, shredder cucumber, carrots, and onion with a sweet dressing. It was very light and summery and was almost like pickles which I love. I definitely need to figure out how to make this as it was incredible.

And finally veggie duck with vegetables. This was interesting. At first I thought the duck was mushrooms as that is what it looked like and I hate them so...then I tried a piece and...it had a really strong flavor and tasted like hot dogs. Not what I was expecting, though I have never had duck so I don't know what it should taste like. It was just odd. Also with the meat was snow peas, carrots, zucchini, sprouts and mushrooms in a teriyaki like sauce which was delicious. Really I would have taken just he veggies as hot dog meat was just odd with the flavors.

Then when we asked for out bill they brought us a little treat sesame Mochi with a bean paste in the middle. Very tasty end to the meal.

Overall - I really enjoyed Bok. The food was light and fresh and delicious.

Wasabi, Willow Street, PA

Location: 2600 Willow Street Pike N, Willow Street, PA 17584, USA
From Food
A few years ago when Wasabi first opened we tired it out on a visit home. I remmeber really enjoying the food there so on this trip to Lancaster I asked to go back again for a family dinner. We got the vegetable gyoza which I always enjoy and these were very good standard vegetable gyoza.

From Food
Then I started trying sushi with the rice on the outside (I dislike seaweed and normal sushi with the seaweed taste first I cannot eat). We tried the Jade roll (avocado, cucumber, and asparagus) and I loved it! I would definitely get this again.

From Food
Then for the entrees we ordered Massaman Curry with tofu. There were a lot of peanuts in it which I don't really like (I usually don't like whole nuts in my food unless it is a baked good) but the curry flavor was pretty good. Not the best I have had, but not the worst either.
From Food
We also ordered Pad Thai with tofu. This was the dish that I remembered that was sooo good that I wanted to come back. The first time we had it it was flavorful, and different from any other pad thai I have ever had. This...this was just....okay. It didn't have much flavor it was just subpar. I definitely would not recommend this for anyone to order and would not get it again.

Overall pretty good, though it is pricy (all of the entrees are over $10 a piece which for the so so food was way too much). The sushi was excellent so if you check out Wasabi I would stick with that and maybe some appetizers.
