Wayward Vegan Cafe, Seattle WA

Location: 5253 University Way Northeast, Seattle, WA 98105, USA

On our visit to Seattle we ate at Wayward Cafe as much as we could. Raymond really misses the American style breakfast. On this visit we ordered the Pancake Combo - a pancake, tofu scramble, sausage, and tempeh bacon. This was all very tasty. I used to ask to add cheese to the tofu scramble because their plain tofu scramble made me gag for some reason (not sure why...) but I forgot that this time, though this scramble was actually pretty tasty. The tempeh bacon is good, the sausage was not as good as it used to be but still enjoyable, and the pancake was perfect and delicious.

We also ordered the Ribwich to try - BBQ seitan, red onions nd tartar sauce on a hoagy roll. This was tasty, but not my favorite sandwich I have had there. I mean the ribs were very good, and if I hadn't had the meatball sandwich days prior I would have liked it more (with nothing to compare it to). Raymond however loved this one more than the other sandwiches we tried.

Overall - I still love Wayward. I miss our weekly visits, but if you are in Seattle you definitely should try it out for breakfast. Everything is always pretty tasty and delicious.
