Thaiku, Seattle WA

Location: 6705 Greenwood Avenue North, Seattle, WA 98103, USA

We were staying with a friend for a few nights who lived close to Phinney Ridge and were looking for some dinner one evening. He suggested Thaiku as it had recently moved to the neighborhood and he had been meaning to check it out (he had loved their previous location). We headed down there and while the menu does not look very veggie friendly there was a note at the bottom saying feel free to order off menu and we will do our best to accomodate you. We ordered the pad thai with tofu no fish sauce (the waitress was very helpful making sure we could eat everything and she is the one who asked us if fish sauce was okay before we could inquire with her which is nice). This was pretty tasty, a little sweet and came with pepper flakes, salt, and peanuts on the side.

The other entree we ordered was the Pad See Iew which is my favorite Thai dish. This one was a little oily, but super tasty. I have missed Pad See Iew since it is hard to find here and this one was really good.

Overall - It doesn't look that vegan friendly from the menu, but just ask for items to be veganized and they are really helpful. The portion sizes are also smaller than most.
