The Crumpet Shop was a regular stop for us on the weekend when we lived close to downtown. I always got a non-vegan one (when I was just vegetarian) and once we moved farther away we stopped going. I read a review of their vegan options prior to our visit so I knew we had to go in and try it out again. We ordered a crumpet with chocolate hazelnut spread (make sure to ask for no butter as they normally butter them first). Very tasty chocolate spread and the crumpets are light and delicious.
We also ordered a Almond butter crumpet which was really tasty, but hard to eat. The almond butter just stuck to your mouth and made it hard to chew, but it was really good. You definitely need a lot of liquid to drink with this one.
Overall - If you are going to be visiting the market anyways you might as well stop by and get a crumpet. They are tasty and light so would be perfect for a snack any time of day.
