Silence-Heart-Nest, Sesttle WA

Location: 3508 Fremont Pl N, Seattle, WA 98103, USA
From Vegan Gastrobot
We went to Silence Heart Nest a few times over the years and were never very impressed with the food we got for breakfast. It was a little more expensive than we usually pay, less food and the food was not as good. My mom was in town however and we were in Fremont looking for some food so we stopped in as she wanted some oatmeal. The oatmeal came out in a huge bowl and my mom enjoyed it, but she didn't like that it didn't have much fruit on it for how much oatmeal they gave you.

I tried the western roundup - sweet potato biscuits, soy sausage covered in cashew gravy served with grilled potatoes. This was better than I had remembered, but still not the best biscuits an gravy I have had. The potatoes were just alright - they could have used some seasoning. The gravy was creamy and pretty tasty, the sausage had a good flavor and the biscuits were fluffy and light. Overall if I were in the area I might stop in again, but at almost $10 for this plate I wouldn't go out of my way for it (if it were amazing I wouldn't mind spending a little more on breakfast).

Overall - Silence-Heart-Nest was better than my previous visits, but still not amazing. A little more expensive than other breakfast options so I don't know how often I would go back there.
