Before becoming vegan I was very much into cupcakes. I remember trying one from Cupcake Royale and thinking I have no idea how people eat these. They are dry and crumbly and the icing is WAY too sweet for me. I could hardly eat it even though there was only a thin smear of frosting on the cupcake. I was very disappointed. I recently found out though that they have a vegan cupcake option so I had to try that out and see if it was any better. The only vegan flavor they have is chocolate, but boy is it tasty! The cake was moist and flavorful and the frosting was light and pretty sweet, but not too sweet for me. I was amazed. I stopped in here with my mom while she was visiting and she got one of their other cupcakes, but tried mine and totally though the vegan one was WAY better. Score for better vegan treats! They are still pricey, but that is what you get when you buy fancy cupcakes.
Overall - Definitely stop in and pick up a vegan cupcake. They are one of the better cupcakes I have had and are pretty tasty.
