Cortona Cafe, Seattle WA

Location: 2425 East Union Street, Seattle, WA 98122, USA

Cortona Cafe is a small coffee shop in the central district. It is kind of in an odd location in a neighborhood and we only went once while we lived in Seattle since we kept forgetting about it. We made a point to stop by for breakfast out second to last day to get some waffles. You can make any of the waffle options vegan so we went with a pecan banana to start with. The waffle is really good and the pecans and banana were delicious. This was Raymond's favorite of the two we ordered.

We also ordered one with fresh fruit - this day banana, strawberries and blueberries. This was my favorite. I never was one to add fruit to waffles or pancakes or anything and I am not sure why. Maybe it is because it is usually in a syrup and I just don't really like that. Fresh fruit on the other hand I found to be a delicious addition to the waffle. This was my favorite of the two even though they were both very good. I also ordered a soy chai tea latte which was pretty tasty, but I didn't get a photo of it.

Overall - I was quite impressed with the Cortona Cafe. Their waffles are very good and the people were very friendly. Check it out sometime.
